LEGAL NOTICE The City of Waco, City of Bellmead, and McLennan County floodplain management, in accordance with National Flood Insurance Program regulation 65.7(b)(1), hereby gives notice of the City of Waco, City of Bellmead, and McLennan County's intent to revise the flood hazard information along the Brazos River within the city limits of Waco Tx, Bellmead Tx, and areas within McLennan County. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed as part of Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) Case No. 21-06-0433P. The City of Waco has developed significantly since the time of the previous effective model dated to 1986 which does not reflect updates to the Lake Brazos Dam. Additionally, the US. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has released updated information for the Brazos River as of 2019 which has been incorporated in the study. The Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) request has been submitted that will, in part, revise the following flood hazards along the Brazos River. 1. Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will be established along the Brazos River in the project area. 2. The SFHA and regulatory floodway will widen along the Brazos River in the project area. 3.
