Which drive-thrus are rated highest among grab-and-go diners? A recently published survey ranked 17 popular national chains (sorry, no Whataburger) in six categories: speed, accuracy, menu quality and availability, plus customer service and restaurant cleanliness/sanitation.
Conducted this year during the COVID-19 pandemic, which QSR called "a new era for drive-thru," the survey revealed, among other things, that 45 percent of people think driving through is more sanitary than picking up an order inside a store. Unlike in previous years, a whopping 72 percent of people were visiting drive-thrus from home and returning home, instead of on the way to or from their workplace.
The rankings are based on a national online survey sample of 1,007 people who used a drive-thru at least once during the preceding 30 days. It was conducted by the FoodserviceResults firm of Chicago.
