Art Center of Waco’s annual Table Toppers luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at McLennan Community College’s Conference Center, 4601 N. 19th St.

The event will include a seated luncheon, working artists creating items to auction, celebrity waiters and a silent auction.

The fundraiser will benefit Art Center of Waco’s educational programs.

Tickets cost $65. Deadline for reservations is Friday.

Community service day

Bruceville-Eddy High School will have its first community service day Friday.

The student body and staff will participate in community service projects at the Temple Veterans Administration Hospital, Taylor Hall Senior Citizen Center in Eddy, Bruceville-Eddy City Hall and the Bruceville-Eddy ISD campuses.

The projects include providing quilts to patients, painting, beautification projects and more.

Cameron Park Zoo

Cameron Park Zoo, 1701 N. Fourth St., will have an “Endangered Species Day” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

The event will include activities and zookeeper talks about protecting endangered species.

Farmers market

The Heart of Texas Farmers Market will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Extraco Events Center, 4601 Bosque Blvd.

The market also will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday until the end of August.

Applications are being accepted for new gardeners and venders.

Crafty Kids Club

Waco-McLennan County Central Library, 1717 Austin Ave., will have its Crafty Kids Club, for ages 6 to 11, at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Participants can make beaded key chains or zipper pulls.

Piano competition

Kampermann Piano Center, 174 Midway Center in Woodway, will participate in Hailun Piano’s “Search for the Best” national piano competition from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

The competition is for piano students ages 6 to 21.

One winner from each age category will receive a new Hailun HU5 upright piano.
