Oakwood Cemetery was established in 1878 and grew into one the most beautiful cemeteries in the area. Oakwood Cemetery is a beautiful historic and peaceful cemetery. Its park-like setting is where families are at ease with the resting place of their families and loved-ones.

Oakwood will set up all equipment needed for a burial. Staff members will prepare the grave site before the funeral and maintain the area after the burial.

For more than one hundred thirty-three years, this non-profit cemetery has become the final resting place for over 36,000 great individuals from Texas Governors, University Presidents, inventors, educators, athletes and veterans from as early as the Civil War through current wars.

Oakwood Cemetery allows traditional interment and ground interment of cremation urns.
