The Baylor football program received its third verbal commitment of the weekend from the class of 2014 from Willis High School junior wide receiver Chris Platt.

Platt is a 5-11, 175-pound football and track standout who is a two-time Class 4A state champion in the 400 meters. He won the 2011 400-meter title as a freshman with a time of 47.34 seconds before winning again as a sophomore last year with a time of 47.06 seconds.

On the football field, Platt caught 13 passes for 311 yards and three touchdowns last season and averaged 39.1 yards on seven kickoff returns while scoring two touchdowns. As a defensive back, Platt collected 68 tackles and broke up four passes.

After holding its junior day on Saturday, Baylor received verbal commitments from Ennis running back Terence Williams and Liberty-Eylau receiver and safety Davion Hall.
