In Milford, Ta’Ron Smith passed for five touchdowns, including one with 27 seconds left to ice the Bulldogs’ win over the Panthers in what could amount to the District 14-1A championship game Thursday night.

Smith hit on 12 of 19 passes for 155 yards and five TDs. But Milford (7-2, 4-0) led only 45-40 until he connected with Juan Venegas in the final minute of the game.

Cade Ramsey ran for 206 yards and two TDs for Abbott (7-2, 3-1), and also returned a kick 76 yards for another score.
